Awwww, shucks!
Little girl is being caged right now. Suspension is in, and many other goodies await.
BIG NEWS is the engine. Most of this I will have to leave to Weiner after it is built, as virtually all of it (a combination of several new things) has not yet been done to any semi-stock air cooled 3.6L to date by anyone. I have promised that I will not spill the beans.
This will be one fantastic car. She's blushing now...

Claudia will be back from the cage builders on Friday and I'll shoot some pics before going back to the body shop for paint.
Motor stuff will have to wait until we get it on the dyno, then I'll post a video.

I can't wait to see the cage; Steve Gatrell is doing it and he is an artist.
In the "racing commuity", cages are a big deal. Beyond safety, they can help to stiffen the chassis, and when done by a guy like Gatrell, the fit and finish, tightness to the body panels and the welds themselves are considered an art form.
(Edit to add: Although the price of entry for these rotors is high, the overall cost gets much lower over time. The one in the pic has around 40 hard track days on it and still looks almost new)
I did spring for a really nice data acquisition kit and two cameras; will be glad to post the occasional video as I come up to speed. It might be fun to watch the changes as I get faster in the car, and as we dial the setup in...a well as the occasional booboo.
Anyway, I don't sleep as I'm so very excited. Here's a pic of a front damper, the Evo outfarker, associated suspension steel, the wonderful AP floating rotor/hat and a bit of rust.

A low butterfly intake system designed for a 3.6 (instead of the set-up designed for a 3.0)...
As seen here: http://rothsport-racing.com/Products/Engine/Fuel-Injection-Systems/FI-Systems-Low-Butterfly.htm
This low butterfly EFI step-up is a hybrid system developed at Rothsport for dual purpose on the both racing and street engines. The ultilization of 6 individual throttle bodies provides the greatest throttle response improvements over single throttle body applications and will allow the use of radical camshafts without disturbing drivability. The addition of the resonance intake plenum enhances both the bottom and mid-range torque characteristics of the engine, giving you car more power off a corner or at a stoplight. This system is the premier set-up ultilized on the 3.0L Spec 911 Series engines.
