911Jetta - By saying paint-to-sample, is it a custom color or was it painted to spec of original non-met slate grey (code 6601?). It looks a little different to pictures of the originals, but perhaps pictures are deceiving. I like that one a lot.
I'm not sure of the color code...the stat sheet on the windschield says it's the only 3.6 Turbo painted non-metalic slate grey. (also black leather interior with red piping...1,700 miles).
I've seen it a couple times, a stunner for sure!
(parked next to a '75 Turbo that first came over to Mexico...one of the first 500 Turbos)
For color comparison perposes...my lowly C2 in the same parking lot.
Did you finish the paint job? I have a 91 C2 that I bought to "backdate" and a non metallic period color, especially slate grey is my preferred colour. The Turbo on the pictures though doesnt look the right one. McQueens car is the one., more "pure steel", less 'brownish-dirth-green". Please let me know what colour code/brand you went for
