As said 5 hours is about right.
Who knows what could be hidden beneath.
At least you know it will be done properly, correctly sealed etc.

Got a question, I'm planning or now thinking about deleting the headlight washer jets on the front bumper...

Apparently the plastic itself sweats when welding and this in itself does not give a good bond. The next option is to plastic fill them but although initially good it may cause slight sinkage problems later. The ideal would be to find a small discrete bung which I can colour code... does this exist?

Nice! So you're not worried about the crap visibility either! Let's just not drive parallel to each other

Satin black out of a can is fine, but Stone Grey I'm not so sure of, and no way could I do the ducktail with a can and it look remotely decent

Need to do some other remedial bodywork on the rear quarters but don t have the ££ at present so stuff will just have to wait I'm afraid

You could make a cap for the washer jet holes by cutting out circles. Smoothing and colour coding. Something similar to the tow eye covers.

I personally will be using 3m liquid plastic to flush them off.
Use the same stuff on my shortened front number plate recess. Then put the bumper on bake a few times with other jobs. If its gonna sink then the drastic change in heat will make it happen.

Frank, Atgani who is a Rennlist member and regularly on this forum has an RS front bumper for sale. No holes and the right config for Techart fog/ducts:

Sounds interesting I'll put it to Karl. Thanks for the tip!

Looking good Frank

its great to see your sticking to black, as its a lovely colour to keep with less effort in colour changing the whole car.

GTone and the bodyshop looks likes like a top job taking into account all the areas that can creep with rust.

Keep the update coming, as you say pictures speak louder than words.

Never!

Looks good! But I just love black! Such a simple colour - nothing reflects like it!

I totally agree, it looks stunning in black especially when clean. I hope your changing all the rubbers and seals on the car before build back, makes a HUGE difference, all in the detail!
