Round plug behind clock?
I removed my clock today, and noticed a round female plug dangling behind it in the dash. It looked to have a jumper installed. Did some searching, but still can't figure out what is for.
Something to do with hvac, or a test port of some kind?

On closer inspection, it is a brown 15-pin connector of the same type and design as the clock connector. Only difference is it has a trapezoidal protrusion in the center, whereas the clock plug has a D-shaped protrusion. Three of the pins are blank, and I was mistaken about there being a jumper.

I took my clock out, too. Haven't noticed any such animal like that.
In any event, whohoo fixed my Airbag light. Indeed it was a clock circut board failure. On of the pins to be exact. Tested it good circut from the socket to the solder but interestingly the pin itself was dead as a door nail resoldered all the joints working for now.

Mystery solved then, I was worried it might be important.
I just found 4 bad solder joints on my clock and fixed them. None was connected to the airbag light, but maybe it was causing some other mojo. Fingers crossed.
