A couple years ago I covered my tail lights with light smoke vinyl tint. You can buy various tint levels, I chose (Light) Smoke Film with a 92% Light Transmission. You can still see the color of the lenses when you stand close to them. No more pink light lenses...plus I hope the vinyl offers some UV protection to the tail lights...and I can peel the vinyl off in minutes.

I have to say I think that it looks good and definitely a bit different. As you say a bit of fun. I might give it a go at some point.

I like them both, too. The 991 is incredible, fantastic and capable of almost any role. It is a fabulous car and a true 911.
But... The next update and/or version will be that little but better again and this one will then feel second best. This is a problem/feeling completely avoided with an older car like the 964. We make it perfect for us and that is how it stays: perfect. The passage of time enhances the specialness instead of diminishing it.

The 991 looks like a nice car as well. Chris Harris has a nice little review on it. I think you can check it out via youtube.

Hahaha. The *** end is certainly large enough to hold the extra lettering.
Perhaps the 911 is losing the distinctive style that the company feels it needs to identify the 911 from the *** end of a Panamera etc. Sad. Remember the days when the 911 didn't need all the badging...you just knew.
