Another great example - Rennlist member owner with full engine rebuild in 2010...

I've wondered what those seats would look like in a 964, pretty good I think. Difficult to se the overall effect with standard Linen carpet and door panels though

They are far cheaper than PP/SPG from D911 I believe

Car itself loos nice and obviously has a very good engine, but 20k for a LHD car thats more or less standard spec in the UK is a lot to my mind

Whether they actually sell for this is another matter, but I've seen standard cars advertised in France and Italy ranging from around 20K€ up to 38K€, so I think £20K is probably realistic for a LHD car that's also just had a full rebuild. The question will be though if it's any better than the large number of LHD cars already on the continent!

I normally get bored with road cars very quickly and rarely have kept the same one foe more than a year in the thirty years I've been driving. But I've had my 964 for seven years now and I've been thinking for a while that it was time to change. I put my car on Pistonheads last week (As you saw, Frank posted it here). I've looked all over at loads of different cars to go with in my budget from Cayman S, Vx220 Turbo, Z4M Coupe, early 997 C4S amongst them. Ultimately there was something missing from all of them.
I had three interested parties and two viewings booked for this weekend when in a moment of clarity on Fri evening I suddenly felt a wrench of fear in my gut and sent some mails out to cancel everything - including the ad. What was I thinking! I can't sell my 964. So, I won't be going anywhere for a while....

As always no affiliation, just keeping the thread alive for buyers.

THE CHEAPER 3.6 TURBO
These cars are sooo expensive now days - here's a cheap one. Why? Well it's had accident damage... interesting how there are no pictures of the repair. I'd tread carefully! Is it overpriced? Funny how the gents name is 'Salvo' sounds like a coincidental pun on salvage!
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3865307.htm

THE DIRT CHEAP TARGA
Great colour, why so cheap? Because it's a tip? It's had a top end rebuild, presumably by Chelsea Carrera (IIRC by a 911uk member who's building an RS track car). Looks tidy, interior too - although the driver's bolster isn't in shot....

THE TIDY TARGA
Bodywork looks very nice as does the interior. No engine rebuild detailed - then again it's only done 70,000 odd miles...

THE BONE DRY CAB
Big proclamations by Portiacraft...

Hi Alex,

The reason I found Rennlist was because of you - you directed me here through a message I sent you following a youtube video you had done. Just wanted to say thanks - great forum.

Glad you came to your senses - there's just no substitute. Have to admit I almost lost my senses too recently due to engine troubles.

A friend of mine, Tom had a Cayman, then a Z4 then I convinced him to buy a 964 - he never ever looks back.
