Yes I've known Tony since he owned that boxster. Unless I'm very much mistaken that means you must be Joe BoXa from Boxa.net?

FWIW I owned a CSL for 5+ years and have had a 993 (lowly carrera, but tweaked on the suspension side with PSS10s) for about 3 years.

For about a year I had both at the same time, then had to decide which to keep due to lack of space. I kept the 993.

CSL is indeed epic, but for me (on the bumpy b-roads I mostly frequent) lacked the involvement and finesse of the Porsche. On the same road you'd definitely be going faster in the CSL, but I was having more fun going slowly in the 993.

Would be a different story on a track, I imagine.

Indeed I did and still sometimes do. I joined in 2005 when I got my first boxster and started a thread on there about the 964 when I added that as my weekender...it's now a very long one!:

'89 C2 up at JZM for £32k (Engine rebuild and full respray)

Or how about another '93 Anniversary in Silver with 64k miles with Paul Devyea for £40k. Rare to see two in the classifieds and both silver given only 12 RHD made

Looks as though people are advertising,

Mint RS'd 964s @ £ 40K+
Mint standard 964s @ £ 30K+

This is getting crazy ambitious! Crazy is fine by me.

What is the definition of an RS'd 964? Some play fast and loose with the RS moniker...

Anything that's not standard... a bit of suspension work, buckets and some RS inspired styling I guess!!! Lol

Well that's dealer prices. Private sales still in the low to mid 20's.

Crikey, it's for sale for ages, gets bought and then back on sale again within a month...I wonder what's wrong with it?

The purchaser is on another forum I'm on (PureGT) he explained in some detail, he's had a wobble out of what he wants from his weekend car. Nothing wrong with this car he says, he's just decided he wants a Ferrari after all.

My friend has the first RS Rep that Jasmine produced, and it is an accurate RS feel, suspension, clutch, rigidity of chassis - however if I had £42k to spend on a 964, I would stretch to a real RS for £60-£70k It would stand a better chance of retaining value over time, I would think.
