DME swap?
I was curious about DME compatibility - forward and back. Can I use a DME from MY92 in a MY90 ? and vice versa? I have a couple experiments I would like to try, and it seems way too simple to just swap the full DME units.

The only units I have in inventory are 0.261.200.482/911.618.124.02 and 0.261.200.450/911.618.124.01. They come with stock programmed chips. Technically there is no operation difference between all the different units, it's the chip inside that each unit is delivered with that determines the different part numbers. The later chip programs allow the check engine light to provide diagnostic capabilities, which the earlier units can also be changed via a chip to do so. The only other difference is that the above units have the fuel quality switch built in which allows changes in ignition timing and fuel enrichment, which in your case would be not used.
