Default FS UK: 1990 C4 Widebody

After 11 years of 964 ownership I have decided it's time for a change so I have put my C4 widebody up for sale. I'll be very sad to see it go and I will miss this forum immensely. I doubt any forum will have the same sense of warmth and friendship that seems to exist here on the 964 board, even the other rennlist forums just don't seem to have that feeling about them.

Vehicle Details
LEFT HAND DRIVE
Year: 1991/H Reg (1990 model year)
Colour: Black
Interior trim: Black Leather
Transmission: Manual
Mileage: 169,500 KM (105,000 Miles)

Price: £20,500 - ambitious, but I'll aim high and negotiate!

Recent History
May 2011 - Full 24k service.
June 2010 – Full professional respray
March 2009 – Full Engine rebuild (at 90,000 miles)
Huge history file of bills and receipts totalling over £20,000 under my ownership alone.
MOT to end March 2012.

Specification & Equipment
Carerra 4 Widebody
Rare non-sunroof car
Air conditioning/climate control,
19" Veloce XS19 alloys
Tear drop wing mirrors
ABS, PAS
Full leather sports seats
Cat Bypass pipe
Secondary Silencer Bypass (original silencer available with the car)
Electric windows, Electric mirrors, Electric & Heated seats,

Becker Naysys CD player with built in Sat-Nav
Alarm & immobiliser.

I have spent the last 4 years bringing this car back to first class condition both mechanically and cosmetically, with the full engine rebuild and a full professional respray the car looks great and drives beautifully. The great Turbo looks without the running and maintenance costs.

For before and after shots of the engine rebuild and a few photos from while the car was being resprayed please check http://s128.photobucket.com/albums/p...20Carerra%204/

That is a lovely motor Jim, you should try putting it on www. mobile.de looks a bargain price compared to some of the motors on there.

Much as I love 964's after 11 years I just really fancy a change. Ever since it came out I have wanted a Ferrari 355 and up until very recently that was the route I was going to take. However my sensible head has taken over and I am planning something more reliable that I can use as a daily driver without having to spend 1000's maintaining each year so I am looking at an Audi R8. It was either that or a newer 911 and to be honest I didn't really want to give up the 964 for a 997.

I can see a lot of specialist dealers being interested in your 964 Jim. Run it over to Specialist cars of Malton who are up your way and see it they are interested. Also put an ad on Pistonheads as that will attract other dealers, especially those that are actively selling LHD ones back to Europe. Stick to your guns on the price. It's well worth what you want for it.

Wish this had been on the market a year and a half ago then I'd would have booked a plane ticket to the UK. :-)

Good luck with the sale - well priced for a quick sale. Would have taken it off you if it had been on the market 18 months ago.

Trying my luck really. I had it on there much lower but if you look at the price of the high mileage widebody convertibles on there it's cheap at the price!

i´m pretty sure that youre able to make a difference between a WTL ( Works Turbo-Look ) and a later changed car ...

... and you should realize that the world became closer with the internet - so your car is well known and already discussed in German communitys
