What do they mean by this?

"Weld in gear change mounting system in gearbox tunnel"

Note the original interior spec doesnt appear to have as much Alcantara as is now the case, so its obviously had some further work (seat spec is different as well I think)

Says there s a 3.8 rear wing but its not shown in the photo

Personally I don't 'get' this car or the money being asked for it. It's as if they took a base car (albeit a celebration) spent lots of money on it, added up all the costs and then added a bit more to come up with the price. The price is in the same ballpark as a 3.6 turbo and a pukka 964RS. The former is a very rare car and the latter has become an icon. Hence their current market prices. The green one is just a one off personalized build.

 

yup my view also, sexy car, too much money.

 

I have sat in the car, and whilst I love the colour and widebody/wheels, I reckon it is definately overpriced for what it is. ;-)

 

Not that this is an RS, I recently read somewhere that there were several 964 RS made with sunroof for the europe market only.

 

So I think we all agree its a nice looking bit of kit but its about £40k overpriced

 

The sunroof was a cost option on the Touring RS model for global market. My Touring RS had this fitted from the factory.

 

RS Americas in the US came with sunroofs plus Barty's special RS!

 

The stock RS America was actually a non-sunroof model, however many were ordered with them

Yep, I was guilty like many....hole cut in the roof of my first Escort and a smoked glass pop up sun roof put in.

 

Me too on my mk1 golf! goshhhhh! what utter de-value of the car!ha

 

Cut the whole roof off my Mini 1000 in 1984 as i wanted to make a convertible and i'd bought this 'kit' from Autobits (local motor factor's in Farnham) for about two month's wages. Needless to say the car was trashed after that and my dad went absolutely mental!

 

Converting from C4 to C2 requires a mount/bracket in the transmission tunnel. This can be either bolted or welded-in - not sure why they've mentioned this little detail though.
