Stock Suspension ? 1990 C2
Merry Christmas everyone....
Just wanted to ask a question about the front stock suspension on my 1990 C2...
I noticed that when I removed the front wheels to clean the wheel wells that below the spring there is a treaded collar with notches going all around. Currently is is halfway down.
If I were to twist (turn) down that collar almost to the bottom of the tread will that lower my front suspension a bit. Is there a tool that you can use to easily turn that treaded collar..I need to get rid of that 4x4 look in the front until I get the suspension updated.

Yes, you can lower some with the threaded collar and yes, there are wrenches for this purpose. The real function of these collars on the stock suspension is purported to be for corner balancing (ensuring that the weight of the car on each of the pair of wheels (front, rear) is matched.)
Note well however that lowering your car will change the alignment.
