I think I know the answer but I'm hoping I'm wrong!
My car is way up on stilts. While putting my new wheels and tires on this past weekend, I noticed at least 1/2" of thread remaining that I could use to lower all 4 wheels.
First, does anyone know which size of C-spanner we need to adjust the spring perches (also where to order?)? Second, if I do lower all 4 wheels by this 1/2", WILL I or SHOULD I get the car aligned?
If I do have to get a re-alignment, I just may just wait until the spring and then change out the shocks and struts at the same time before the alignment...
The car is an '89 btw.

First of all, (unless you have installed coil overs) those are factory balancing point adjustments and not for ride height adjustment.
Secondly, yes, any time you make significant adjustments to the ride height it will change the suspension geometry - particularly toe is most effected when adjusting ride height.
So, your best bet is not to mess with it until you have your new shocks and springs installed and have it aligned then.
