Mine have no lock ring and in 6000 miles no movement as I marked them with yellow paint to be sure...not tried a ken block ramp jump yet though!!

Cool, thanks. Have emailed FVD. I can't really think of a scenario where the perch would turn on the threads whilst driving (outside of doing donuts around moving Lamborghinis)..

The weight of the car causes enough pressure for it not to be a concern. Although Ken Block jumps might be an exception.

Ordered! Looking forward to getting down that last half inch..
Just so the uk guys know, we get the 10 percent rennlist discount, but FVD add the vodka and tonic on top, so my total was 120 euro all in.

You looking to fit it yourself?

Very good service mine arrived today will get them fitted over the winter the only slight problem is the collar has holes to fit the key to turn them rather than slots for the Bilstein key so will need to adapt one of my keys to fit easily solved.

The other thing I'm worried about is how this affects the effective range of the damper. By lowering the spring perch, aren't we basically pre-loading the shock? I just want to make sure that "form" doesn't override "function" in my application.

Thanks

I think the form and function question is a good one, especially with reference the stanced cars on 18's and that...but in my case I am only going down another 10-20mm, would be surprised if that makes a big difference to the shock/spring dynamic. And surely the spring will take up heaps of preload before the shock does, unless you are going 'dam lo' that is...

Yes fitting myself John. We have had a mild winter so far, not much salt ,so the car is still getting frequent use. When the salt hits big time I'll set to it plus a few other jobs (engine mounts, 21mm rear bar etc). Gaz might beat me to it though!

In my case, I'm only going to use them with my Bilstein HD's, which have a shorter threaded area than the OEM shocks. I want the same adjustability I had with the original shocks.
I believe this is the reason FVD developed the perches.

Mine are still sitting on the bench in the garage and no gas in the heater so I suspect they wont be fitted anytime soon !
