Default Slow leak=cracked wheel

Good morning gents. Thought I had a very slow leak (read 4 pounds over 10 days). I took it to be repaired this morning and discovered a cracked wheel lip that actually turns slightly through the elbow into the wheel itself. It's on the inside wheel lip so didn't notice till we pulled the tire off. Can this be repaired by a good welding shop? The wheel is a 9" 55 offset Turbo Cup 1, so I sure hope it can be repaired. Please advise, and many thanks in advance. Happy Monday all.

Are you in the US? Skip's Wheel Works here in Oregon might be a good resource for wheel repairs.

Thanks Tom,

I just spoke with Skip. Great guy!!! As the crack is perpendicular to the rotation of the wheel, Skip said it can be fixed. Sweet. I need to find a master welder here that can do it and then have the wheel rounded & trued once the welding is done.

Does any one know a good shop here in the Los Angeles area you would reccomend? Thank You!!!
