Thanks for the write-up. I noticed the shield on my dad's 964 was split, didn't know it's not supposed to be like that. Guess it'll get replaced soon.

If they split and you don't notice they can flap around at speed and wear the paint on the back deck around the opening for the spoiler. Seems like it's the edge of the spoiler opening where you see it first. Get it fixed before you wear your clearcoat.

i appear to be missing the entire top piece (3) on my curtain - are there any issues with leaving it like this??

Laker, you are awesome.

I just completed this in exactly the time you said it would take, no fuss. My original spoiler wall was actually still intact, until I decided to clean it a few weeks ago -> rip!

The only difference I could find in installing is that there is also a fabric/canvas piece that clips along the entire length of the edge that you have labelled "1", that you didn't mention.

I didn't have any issue clipping the top of the spoiler wall to the spoiler, that many others seemed to - I ordered the Porsche branded spoiler wall from Pelican.

Thanks for the great and clear write up. Perfect timing as I just ordered a new curtain and was a bit dreading the p car process.

Question: In below labeled picture it appears that the curtain has one tall fixed lower portion and three folded panels, the third and top most, inserted in the channel attached to the spoiler. Is this correct? If so, my top-most panel (see picture below) is missing and I only have two folded panels.

I’ve tried to secure my top edge in the channel, but curtain doesn’t appear to be tall enough to attach, which leads me to believe PO just pulled the top broken panel out…..?

This is a new to me ‘96 993.

Rocking some 295s on the rear. Some rubbing issues that I’m trying to resolve with adjustment to OE M030 newly installed suspension and potentially some 3mm spacers vs. 5mm.

Forgeline wheels came with along with stock Cup IIs. Building some 3D printed center caps with relief for OE 356 crests. Did weigh-in and these big bastards are only a pound more than Cup IIs with Michelin PS4 tires installed. I’ll take that for looks, handling, and traction all day long👍

Hi guys, this is the same process for the 993? I don’t have the part number but looks to be same. Thanks
