Sport Classic wheels (not the Fuchs 19"s)
Has anyone ever done Sport Classics (17" or 18" 2-piece) on a 964 WTL or Turbo? Do you have any photos? Just interested to see what they would look like on a wide body.

17" sport classic wheels
These are the wheels that came with my '93 C2 coupe that I'm thinking of putting up for sale.
They are 17" Sport Classic 1 made by BBS.
Here's a link for various wheels: http://944racing.de/wheelweights.php
Good luck in your quest.

Sport Classic Rims
18" wheels 7.5X50 offset front 10X65 offset rear
Tires: 225 front 265 rear
7 mm spacer front / stock wheel studs
15 mm spacer in rear / longer studs (12 mm longer than stock)
Critique of wheels: 1 thumb up, 1 thumb down: Very hard to clean... Spend more time on these washing these wheels than I do the car. I have noticed that this generation of wheels is suceptible to corrosion. Look at some of the other posts and you can see where the paint around the rims has bubbled or flaked off and the aluminum substrate is corroded. Mine need refinishing..... I am considering other wheels.
Critique of Michelin Super Sport tires: I am of the opinion that these are some of the best tires on the market for several reasons;
1. It rains in Alabama frequently and these tires give ample warning when they are about to let go. Work really well in normal wet driving conditions.
2. Super Quiet; I never before had high performance tires that were quiet. I have read others comments as well. I can now hear my engine, thumbs up.
3. They balanced out with little or no weight. My first job 35 years ago was at a service station where we would mount tires, only the "better" tires would mount without the need for little or no weights being added.
4. They appear to wear very well ... but with only 3,000 miles, the jury is still out. I have seen some tires start to show wear soon after mounting. I run stock geometery... so that may not be a fair comparison for most others here that I read about on a daily basis.

Sorry
I misread your post. Sorry about my nickname. I lived next to an Indian Reservation in the Four Corners Region and they could not pronounce my Italian name and stck me with this one....
