Default Rear Blower Motor question

The rear blower motor on my 91 C-4 Cab failed 2 months ago and I replace it with a new unit. All was fine until last weekend when the fan continued to run after turning off the engine. (Not for just a few minutes as it should - it continued to run at high speed for over 1 hour until I unplugged it). After reading a few threads here, I subsequently replaced the temp sensor and resistor. No change: fan still runs on high speed even with motor cold. When I remove the temp sensor, it continues to run.

What next?

Thanks!

Have a look to see if THIS has happened.

The first time that relay plug melted, the blower was stuck on. The second time it melted the blower didn't come on, though.

Thanks, Baba...sorry for the long delay, but that is exactly what happened to mine, right down to the melted plastic! Got distracted by a job change, and move, etc, but car is repaired now and I once again have heat. I appreciate the assist.
