I vote for matte...tends to make the tire and wheel more monochromatic.

you can have both.... go for gloss, then let the brake dust build up.

It's funny you guys should mention the brake dust cause that's one of the reasons I wanted to powder coat them the aluminum color gets dirty easy.....I'm partial to the matte myself but I am curious though the center caps you can get on ebay that are black with the gold colored emblem are they matte or gloss black? And would it look funny having matte wheels with glossy centers?

I did mine in satin/matte black. Much better looking to my eyes. So I vote matte.

Though I prefer the polished chrome look of Speedlines, matte black makes the most sense when it comes to brake dust...you'll never have to clean your wheels again!

I vote for gloss black. I prefer the shiny look, the matte finish dulls the whole look of the car. Just my own opinion though, when I first started seeing the matte all black look over 25 years ago I didn't like it and it hasn't grown on me.

Gloss. Matte is just too... plain for wheels.
