My 964 headlight assembly has a part that the Porsche dealer cannot find on the diagram.
My lamp assembly is 4 parts. Glass enclosure, retainer, lamp and a 4 th part the lamp inserts into. The lamp insert locks into the glass enclosure and the retainer locks the insert holding it all together.
It is the insert that I cannot locate. It is not shown on the Porsche template. Porsche dealership said they have never seen it before. Both sides are the same
Any help would be appreciated

Is the "4th part the lamp inserts into" the (burned-up) beige socket shown in my headlight repair thread?
And, if so, are you dissuaded from going a similar socket replacement-repair route (e.g., because of trying to stay true with 'Porsche parts', or disinterest/worry over making such a repair)?

Are you missing the part on only one headlight? If yes, can you take a picture of the item you are looking for using the other headlight? I'm having trouble visualizing what part you need.

thanks for the replies. The part is not on the diagram at the dealership or any that I can find online so I am inclined to believe that is part of the lens assembly. The part is the piece that the light bulb plugs into then that with three prongs locks into the lens and the retainer locks onto it and of course the wire pig tail plugs into it.
