I need to do mine as the sun here is unbearable... though I use the car all year round.

At the moment I have sunshades that go up ALL the time when I'm not driving and I park her in a covered/shaded spot 95% of the time.

Still I think tinted windows make sense.

There are two types - metal and ceramic tinted film. Ceramic is more reflective and has more shine to it from the outside, but is more expensive.... and I find it out of place on the 964.

UV light is what attacks your interior - not so much the heat - and all decent film will block plenty of it regardless of the % of tint.

Personally I would go with a very low tint on the front (5%) and slightly more (10%) on the sides and rear.
