Default Bilstein HD/H&R or Bilstein PSS9

I have the opportunity to purchase a used set of Bilstein HD with H&R Reds with 3,000 miles for $700 or a used set of Bilstein PSS9's with 15,000 miles for $1,000. Last year I was only able to make 3 DE events, so lets say 70% daily driven and 30% track. What would your recommendation be? I am torn as to which one to choose after reading all of the posts. I can't beat the price on the two options which is good since I am on a limited budget (i.e. no KW V3's anytime soon).

PSS9s sound a bargain TBH I'd take them in a heartbeat (if you dont will they ship to the uk? )

Bilsteins are a good deal also and even better due to milage I guess

My logic:

$1,200 - 1,300 new vs. $700 used = +/- 40% discount
$3,500 new vs. $1,000 used = +/- 70% discount

(rough numbers off the top of my head)

If you do a search, I think you'll find lots of listers who have installed coilover systems who swear by them, as compared to H&R/B. Also, you'll find many who think the reds ar too harsh off track.

I still have a set a set of greens on the shelf waiting for Bilstein funds. If I had the opportunity you describe, I'd buy the coilovers and sell my springs. JMHO

Without a doubt the PSS9's. I went that route after Bilstein Hd's and B&G springs. The PSS9's give you everything the shock/spring combo will plus the ability to adjust damping front to rear to fine tune the handling and offer more ride height adjustment as well. For the small difference in cost you will be better off.

Thanks for the replies and help. I am working on acquiring the PSS9's, if that works out I will relay the information forward for the Bilsteins and H&R's...

IMHO, the PSS9s are sprung all wrong and the rebound adjustment is more digital than analog. Yes, you are getting a deal off of retail, but I'd prefer reds/bilsteins anyways. My opinion probably does not represent the majoity here, FWIW.
