Default Third Annual 964 Sprint day at Curborough UK

Sunday 30th October 2011

I am again organising a day at the Curborough Sprint Course in Staffordshire for us to try out our pride and joys in the relative safety of one car on track at a time. The track offers a variety of layouts and is as accommodating for those who just want to spectate as for those testing their skills on the track. You don't have to book the track time to enjoy this day because just like all our other meets, the day is all about meeting other 964 owners with the added bonus of seeing some cars in action.

The cost is £55 for those who want to take their car on track with passenger rides being free. Spectating and meeting others is of course also free. With a driver briefing at 11 am and the circuit open from 11:30 am until 4:30 pm there’s plenty of scope for an entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable day and time for people to travel to and from the circuit on the same day. Helmets are NOT required although they are optional and, perhaps, recommended. There is a catering cabin on site that serves bacon butties, chips, beverages, etc which are all included in the price for the paying participants.

Curborough is situated 20 miles North of Birmingham off the A38 trunk road between Burton on Trent and Lichfield in Staffordshire. The venue is Brown Signed once you are off the A38, and also the A515 from the West. Their web site is available at http://www.curborough.co.uk.

To take part you need PM me and I will reply with my address for you to send me a cheque or you can pay me by bank transfer. There are 15 track places which will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Please ask any questions you might have about the day and let me know if you want a place.

Steve Brookes

Steve,
Are there any noise restrictions at Curborough / would a de-cat + cup-pipe be ok?

Cheers

The noise tester chap who knows us quite well is pretty friendly on the testing. He only makes us rev to just under 4,000 rpm. The only time he said no was to an early 911 that was putting out 110 db. All 964s have passed each year. Your combo should be OK.

Great - Please put me on the list / PM me your address or bank details and I'll transfer the money.

It'll be my 1st track event in this car

Put me down Steve, I'll record the Indian GP.

I think I still will have the old girl on the road.

It's yours Gary

List now full but I will take reserves in case anyone has to cancel. And of course, anyone else is welcome to come along, watch and enjoy the day. Volunteers to help me on the start/finish line will also be appreciated.
