What would be the widest wheels i could fit under a NB 964 with 930 flares? Also what offset would provide the most lip and still be able to have a good low stance? I wanted to use a 16" wheel but there are no tires available in the widths that I would want so, i will go going with a 17" 3pc wheel of some kind. I do not want any major clearance issues that can not be resolved with minor trimming and I will be lowering the car to a much lower than stock stance.
I know this topic has been beat to death but I just want to make sure before I start collecting parts to build the wheels or order a set of custom wheels.
Car info:
1992 964 with steel 930 flares. (can roll fender lips some too if needed to fit better looking wheels)
Thanks
Mike

I have 11's on the back of my car. The offset should be the same as the 3.8RS which was 5 I believe. Might be worth measuring very carefully though as using flares rather than full widebody panels can cause variations in the width at the back.

Did you keep the NB suspension or move outboard in the rear; ditto with the front struts.
The RSR, for instance, kept the NB trailing arms, the turbo did not...this makes a huge difference.
