Default open recall wko6

i talked to a parts guy at norden autohaus in edmonton today to get touch up paint for my car and he told me i had an open recall on my car wko6 but that because it was so old he would have to research what it was for.
Anybody here know what this recall was for or where i can find out what it is for?

Not sure what that specific number refers to but you can see many of the recalls for the 964 here.

PM me your VIN and I can see if I can look it up at work tomorrow - I've had no problems looking up recalls and such for my 964, and even older 911's.

Wouldn't the recalls expire by now? I seem to recall that was the case when I brought one of my car back to the dealer for service.

dealer contacted me today and said the recall apparently is for strut mounting bolts.as for being expired the dealer said there was no expire date on it that if i am driving the car and recall is open it would be done at no charge no matter the age.

That's great to know since I have a couple of open recalls also, which I have not yet dealt with since the car is in storage right now.

Safety related recalls often never expire. Non-safety recalls do - like the distributor vent for example.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to run your VIN yesterday, got all tied up & busy. I just ran it & did get your option codes though:

158 F RADIO BLAUPUNKT RENO SQR 46
454 F AUTOM. GESCHWINDIGKEITSREGULIERUNG
494 F ZUSATZVERSTAERKER
650 F DACH ELEKTR.VERSTELLBAR
900 F Tourist Delivery Preparation

Looks like a Euro delivery car, sweet! You'll have to translate the rest, Porsche only has them in German on the old cars...
