Default A taste of summer in Sweden...

Every wednesday evening there's a gathering of cars at the locks in Trollhättan close to where I live. I went there last week and enjoyed a few hours of cartalking and icecream. The Porsche content this evening was pretty low, only 3 cars including my own but as you'll see in the pictures there plenty of variety with a strong flavor from the US as many Swedes love classic american cars.

This nice -88 targa is owned by Torbjörn in the striped shirt who's talking 911 to Pontus in black who drives a nice -92 928 GTS.

Nice early Saab "pearhalf"

Nicely restored Karmann-Ghia

Opel Kadett Ralley

Cant be Sweden without a Volvo

Caddy of some sort (I'm no good at these cars so please enlighten me)

Alfa Romeo

DeSoto?

My favorite design of all the classic americans!

Ford GT kitcar

As I said, the Swedes love old american cars !

I guess! Nicer collection than you'd see at a lot of American shows.
Trollhättan makes me think of SAAB, which makes me a little weepy.
I'm hanging onto my 900 NG, as a relic of what may soon no longer be. :*(

I never realized there were so many US cars in Sweden.......and I'm sure they would look even better with a few of your beautiful women hanging around !!!!!

Try to include a few hotties in your next pics of US muscle cars !!! lol

LOL ! message understood....will try to comply... ;-)

Unfortunatly most swedish hotties seems to avoid old american cars and drift more towards the pokemon-car-scene.

Beautiful cars, and so nice to see the love for old "foreign" cars is universal.
There is a great film called "Yank Tanks" which is about the Cubans keeping their 1950s American cars running with a trade embargo and no spare parts.
