Default How to troubleshoot AC/Heater blower

Hi all,

This morning my blower motor started/stopped a couple of times and then went completely dead. Had been running fine. Was not making any weird noise or other problems.

So, where to begin troubleshooting?

Thanks,

Mike

The fuse for it is in the small fusebox on the side of the engine bay (it's the 30A fuse)

The relay is also in there too (it's the tall black one with the Audi logo on it)...maybe it's fallen out or something. To test the relay, you will find that two of the relays in the big front fusebox are the same (they have a "1" sticker on top). You can try swapping out the fan blower relay with one of these, just to see if it might have anything to do with it.

I'd start with this, and see how you go

Wait a sec...do you mean the cabin fans, or the big heater blower fan in the engine compartment?
