Hi guys, I have just had a list of work to be carried out in a 12 k service and just wondered if anyone could tell me if it is standard or if anything is missing.

Replace oil filter
Replace oil - -
Replace air filter - -
Replace 12 x spark plugs - -
Adjust valve clearances - -
Replace oil filter console (+2 other) seal rings - -
Repair cat shield rattle

Makmov

Often overlooked change fuel filter
Brake Fluid change
PS Fluid Change
Brake service incl servicing parking shoes
Trans Fluid
Batt/charge system test and service
General check of the vehicle condition and address anything other possible issues that come up with that inspection.

How long since the last major service? 12K is a bit frequent for anything but oil change/air filter/valve adjustment. If the car is new to you, sure do everything on both lists above so you've got a starting point.

Oh, and belts and caps/rotors would be a good addition to the list if you do want to have EVERYTHING done. Doesn't take much time to throw in a compression and leakdown test if you want a running record, either.

Thanks very much guys, in addition they are looking at the brakes and refirbishing the front calipers. The brake fluid change is a must I think and I will try and get them to do the transmission fluid.
