thanks for reminding me! I was lucky enough to watch some of the DTM races live in the 90´s. Mostly Nürburgring and Hockenheim ... Great action with the high reving 4-cylinder BMW´s and AMG Mercedes. Because of the many starters and "equal" cars, the porsche cup was always my favorite. The video speaks for itself!

How come 964s never competed with other brands? Or did they? I loved the battles between bmw and Mercedes in the dtm series.

there had been in 1991 24h Nürbugring but only due to the german 24h regulations at that time


the BMW´s and AMG´s had around 320 + hp at that time compared to the "stock" 270 + hp of the 964 rs; weight was - as far as i know - almost equal, around 1.100 - 1.200 kg for both.
