Default Window Issue

Guys, please help confirm that this is probably my problem before I order a new motor.

My driver's side window will not go down. The passenger side window works fine with both switches and the sunroof operates normally (same circuit?).
I switched out the driver's window switch with a new one and it still doesn't work. I've wiggled the window a bit to see if anything would free up, but it only moves a very little bit in the frame (normal).
I'm guessing the motor is bad?

This happened once before (a few months ago) while I was out of town with the car. It wouldn't work for a day or so, and then I get in the car the next morning and it was working fine (after sitting in the hot sun for a day).

Before I buy a new motor from our host here, any input?

Yes, I did use the 'search' function.

Thanks!

Have you checked the connections on the motor? The fact that it did this before and fixed itself may suggeat that. Worth a check anyway.

How much was the switch? Mine are flaky.

Alright, double checked relay and switch, both are good. Time to take the door panel off...oh joy!

Shall I make a documentary of this procedure, or does one already exsit?

I'd like to see it

You'll try direct 12V to the window motor terminals before pulling it out, right?

Here's the DIY for the door panel removal. Its not too bad, once you do it.

before you strip the motor out give it a few taps with a hammer while holding the switch down, the motors can become sticky if not used regularly.
