Default 993 power seat power connectors not matching up with my 964?

I had read several posts that said the rails and connectors were a direct fit. It looks like the "prongs" on the male piece attached to the seat are larger than the holes in the female piece in the car. Any suggstions?

I know this opens itself up to lots of jokes and comments with the above wording LOL.

Maybe you are trying the wrong hole.

maybe a picture would help.

The switch is basically the same sort of. Single switches or double switches. What did you remove and what are you installing?

and where exactly did you try to plug it in? It is kind of a convoluted wiring mess.

Well on the seats there is a rectangular connector that has a total of 9 posts or prong on it. 4 silver ones on each side and then an additional black one in the center at on end. The connector that is on the floor of my car is the same size rectangular piece and look identical except it has holes for the posts/ prong to fit in. The only issue is that the holes are smaller than the prongs and I believe ther are more holes. They are very close, but as they say "no cigar".

I don't remember 9 I remember 8 pin holes and only four per side were used on the two way seat anyway. I also recall it's a very tight fit and with the connector cap off it is hard to get all the pins lined up just right.

It is the same deal Porsche used forever on all their cars I can't imagine it's all the sudden different on a 993, and if it is different you just need the 964 seat switch set.

Its really 8 prongs and the 9th one looks more like a plastic guide. It is black plastic.

Ah yes, that makes sense because even the wiring diagram only shows a 8 pin connector.

Mine worked just fine. No mods required. The seats I pulled out were a 8 way power driver and a 4 way power passenger (I think). I put in 8 way on both sides from a '96 993 turbo. No issues whatsoever. I created a thread on the subject.
