All wheels should be checked frequently because of this.
Agreed. I used 2 sets of Fikse's over many seasons and many thousands of miles of track duty. I currently purchased another set which have around 700 miles on them for my new track car. I always inspect wheels prior to each event and I never had any issues with the centers cracking. I did have an inner barrel crack on one but it was not done by me and barrels are cheap.
Bump! Any of you Fikse fans know what the popular inner and outer sizes are for the 18x10 rear fitment? Trying to decide if I will resize the 18x9 rears that I have. These are 7inner and 2 outer.
i've had a number of fikses over the years, but my favorite designs are the FM5 (Profil5) and FM10. i just sold my Profil5s this past year from my 993, but i still have FM10s on my 951. i also ran FM5s on my RSA a long time ago, but no pics of that.
FM5 is a very clean design and easy to clean. FM10s are a pain to clean.
Barrels and lips will depend on the model and fitment of the center, which is usually laser engraved on the face of the center. Email Fikse and they will help you determine what you need.
I have a mess to clean up from the storm but will see if I can get the numbers off my wheels for the centers. You can contact Fikse and see if they can help. I will caution you that some of the very old Fikse's had issues with the bolts stripping upon removal rendering the center useless. But they would need to be about 20 years old.
I have a set of Profi 10's that were 12" wide and had to reduce the barrel by 1" although that might change back. IIRC the barrels weren't much maybe $250 ea. I suspect prices have increased.

I did fill out the form on their website - but then found this....considering my query would potentially lead to purchase from them it's funny to see a charge for this servce. We will see what they come back with.

Ouch!! I could understand if they completely refunded the money but only $50 of the $99. If it leads to a sale??? Seems $100 is the new $20 these days.
Sure enough. They directed me towards their “product”.
edit - I suggested they creat an automated way for customers to pull the data. He did end up sending me info which makes in convenient. His reasoning for this charge makes a little sense though. Cites many calls from people who don’t own the wheels just trying to see if they will fit their cars after seeing on eBay or such. I’m sure that’s a pain - but the charge thing just isn’t a good look either. Nothing can be easy I guess.

This is absolutely wild to me. I exchanged 14 emails with Bryan in May of 2022 when he helped me with options for resizing a set from 964 to 993. No mention of this nonsense.
I wonder if they'd charge you another 50 for the serial number for the fronts vs rears.

I can see both sides of it, I guess. No telling how many people called for the specs of the same set of ebay wheels.
He did extend an olive branch, since I do actually own the wheels and sent me the info for them.
