964 engine part number question
I looked up on PET - and I can not for the life of me find the part number for this piece of the the throttle piece - it's this black push in part. Anybody know what the part number is so I can order??
This is for a 3.6 engine that I'm putting in my 1974 IROC car

How bizarre - same issue I guess.
No listing - I'll have to try my favorite parts counter
I have listed a few things on ebay
cruise control module - and cable
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=110696024606
and a complete power steering pump and assembly.

Sorry I don't see it in the 964 PET diagram either. I looked at the engine, foot pedal and cruise control sections. I happen to have an engine on the floor. I looked at the part. Mine has the initials WUS on it but no part number.

Hmmmm. My 89 only has one of the black plastic "grommets", like in the second pic. I got one from Vertex. Is that second attachment point a later model Cruise Control connection?
The first pic is missing the tube-like rubber bellows that protects the bare cable. It prevents water/dirt from getting into the cable housing. It extends from the fixed bracket with the round hole to the back of the plastic piece you're looking for.

rocket you might be on to something - in that diagram (the 964 version) it looks NOTHING like the diagram
I cross referenced it in the 968 KATALOG and it shows a clip that's more like the picture

Decided to replace my fuel lines since they age like everything else. Taken them to Amazon Hose to get rebuilt in Tampa (did the same thing with my Carrera Fuel lines)

I got the Alternator off - and underneath looked like it had an oil leak for 40,000 miles - or the outside of one of BP's oil rigs.
so decided to bite the bullet and pull the intake.
Couple of gaskets - what the he!!
Finished - oh my
Aw well - I planned on replacing all the O rings anyway - and the breather cover gasket - so at least I'll start with a cleaner engine (and no PS pump leaking)
Here it is now... good base to build off
The good thing is that it looks like it's had a fairly recent top end. The valves and valve guides looked really good and fresh.
