Default Flags to Aero's

A few questions before i start cutting cables...
Is it correct that I have to cut the wiring and re-wire to install aero mirros or can the wires be removed from their connectors from inside the flag mirrors themselves / a connector somewhere in the door panel?
I went thru pelican parts for the electric Aero mirrors and i think 650$ seems quite expensive.. i want to do another flag conversion and wondered if anyone had found a suitable quality cheaper replacement electric mirror or if i should just pay up for OEM. Thanks

Yep i saw that "tear drop exposed" article.
However i didnt really want to cut the wire unless i had to. Just wanted to check if there was any other option or sockets i could buy to make this a cleaner job. If Aeros have a socket on the mirror i would like to get hold of the other side to install into the wire in the door. i know i wont ever look in the door panel but knowing its just wires clipped together in there bugs me. i dont really know why.

When I did mine the kit came with a new connector for each side. I had to cut the flag connector off and insert and solder the wires into each new pin which then snapped into the socket of the new aero mirror connector. Once done it was a very clean install without the need to splice any wires.
