Default oil light problems 964

Hello everyone, is a bit of time, when I'm in traffic with my 964 with the oil temperature hot I often I turn on the lamp oil for 5-10 seconds, the oil level is OK, there's someone who could help me? Thanks to all.

Have you made sure that you oil cooler fan is operational?

Also, you might want to make sure that the oil cooler is clean and free of any debris which may be inhibiting the air flow through the oil cooler.

The 964 manual says that with hot oil (9 o'clock of the gauge) the low oil pressure may
come on for a moment.

Caution, there are 2 fans/coolers, the OIL cooler is under the right side front fender (left side is the A/C condensor).

Also, check the piping running down the right side of the lower body - that's the oil line, it should be HOT - otherwise you may have a bad thermostat.

You need a thicker oil, try with 15w50 or 10w60. You can try with 20w50 mineral.
