***SOLD***
Original black with tan interior 1991 C2 Cabriolet, manual. The car currently has 68,700 miles and I have owned the car for just over 4 years putting 10,000 miles on the car. Always garaged/covered and only driven in summer. During that time I have done a lot of work replacing every maintenance item imaginable both as a project and to bring the car to top/reliable condition. Everything on the car works perfectly including the original Porsche alarm/central locking system. The car has never been in an accident. I have DE'd the car a total of 4 days with no off track incidents. Original paint in excellent condition and no rust. It does not leak a drop (seriously). Leakdowns in the 5-6% range. The car runs perfectly with no tears in the seats or interior.
I have kept the car original with the following upgrades:
-Bilstein HD and H&R green springs, lowered to Euro specs, corner balanced
-Kirk bolt-in roll bar
-993 rear calipers
-Wevo black engine mounts
-Gusseted engine carrier
-Front strut brace
Maintenance includes:
-Replace clutch disc, pressure plate, TOB and guide tube, EBS release fork, slave hose. LUK DMF was in spec per workshop manual and TSB.
-Front and rear brake rotors/pads, pad sensors, SS brake lines plus new rigid brake lines, fresh ATE blue
-Replace all CV boots and grease CVs
-Replace rear wheel bearings
-Replace rear main seal (wasn't leaking, just a 'while you're there' item)
-Replace distributor belt
-Replace distributor caps/rotors
-Replace ignition wires (Beru) and ignition coils
-Replace spoiler baffle
-Replace engine blanket
-Replace all fluids including power steering (Delvac 75W-90 trans, Mobil1 0W-40)
-Replace front/rear hood shocks
-The usual maintenance like adjusting valves, new plugs, new air/fuel filters and replace all belts
-New Sumitomo HTR ZIII tires on 993 Cup II rims (255/40-17, 205/50-17)
-AC was recharged 2 summers ago and it still blows cold
As I performed the work I meticulously cleaned everything. Photos detaiing this and the work performed can be seen in this thread.
The cab top works perfectly and is in excellent condition. The rear section of the top was new when I purchased the car.
Extras included are indoor cover, Scantool interface and SW, original D90s with tires (1/2 tread), various spare parts.
I'm selling the car for $25,500. I realize you can find low mileage 964s for much less but they will likely not have this level of maintenance or suspension upgrades. This is a reliable turn-key 964 that requires nothing except to be driven. If you want to DE this car is setup correctly and ready to go. I'm selling because I don't drive the car much now that I've finished my 71T restoration.
PM or email me and I will provide a telephone number to discuss the car.
