Default The light that wont go out

Noticed an eerie blue light in engine compartment this AM, (I replaced all my bulbs with LED0 seems that the engine compartment light wont go out, removed the switch and its still on, I figure its a short to ground (brown lead)

Will look at it tomorrow, any suggestions from those in the know??....I think this should be a simple fix and hope it does not involve soldering the clock....again..

Lightbulb

Check your trunk light first; tape or clamp the switch so you know its off. If mine is on, the engine light is also on even though the lid is closed.

Thanks Harry, last place I would have thought of (if I thought of it at all) to look and the problem was in the switch/wiring for the trunk (boot), when it stayed on so did the engine compartment

If I hadnt switched the bulbs to LED I would have had the current drain/dead battery issue!

I don't care I don't care, I don't care
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one, da ...Oh,
I haven't got one

And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten-ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure - the privilege is mine

Oh, There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out

The trunk light in my '89 is also always on. I unplugged the wire at the hinge, not knowing how to stop it otherwise.

Take the bulb out instead, no hanging wire to get in the way of something
