This race car has a straight through pipe instead of cat and a secondary muffler bypass. It is a woof woof sound compared to the primary bypass

Do we know why the muffler fails in the way that it does when used with the cup pipe?

When my secondary cracked just like that... I put on a gpipe.

I now have straight pipes and I wouldnt have it any other way.

At car shows I have countless number of people ask me if I've swapped in a v8 or if ive changed the engine because certainly it cant be a porsche engine!!

Same here, mine cracked after 10 month of cup pipe, put back primary muffler and G pipe now.
