hey guys i have an 89 964 c4 .i as ondering on the tach is it possible to replace just the glass or plastic i am nclined to think it is plastic as it has almost lke cracks or raised lines on it.Can it just be polished out or are there suppliers with these parts.the est of the tach works good so i dont want to replace it unless absolutely needed.will try and post pics hen i get home from work.

Package it up and send to North Hollywood Spedo they will replace with glass for about $60.

Or........ open it up yourself after searching the process on previous posts, measure the size / take the broken pieces to a plastics shop, have them cut you a new one, and install it. Did that on my fuel/oil gauge when I first got the car and 4 yrs later it's still perfect.

Sorry Makmov, I'm not intentionally following you around second guessing your advice. I just have a poor-boy approach to jobs like this. I'm sure N H Speedo would do a better job than I did.
