Aircon pipe broke

Default Aircon pipe broke

Just had my aircon regassed all good for half an hour then the metal joint coupling on the end of the return pipe before the compressor blew apart covering my clean engine in green oily crap .Any ideas if how much this pipe cost and is it a big job as i cant see where the other end gosAlso where can i buy one?

I know the main pipes running over the engine bay are about £250 each but not sure if thats the pipe that your referring to.

Incidentially where did you get it filled?

Remove the left rear wheel, remove the fender liner (top part only) and you will be able to see the fittings that connects the two hoses from the engine compartment to the tubes that run forward to the dryer and condensor. They are easy to remove, there is also a double clamp on the firewall that needs to come off, and a bracket where the hoses go through the side of the engine compartment. Also make sure to clean around the unions before you take them apart, lots of dirt up there.
