Default FACTORY KEYS FOR 89 964

Just curious did the 89 c4 come with a lighted key fob originally for ignition or was it just a plain metal key?

Hmm. I have one lighted key, and one other key with a small head. I thought I had all the keys that would have come with the car? What's the red key? - Is that a key that is special to the US market?

Valet Parking key. Not sure if it is US only. Here is a pretty standard set of keys. The small all metal key might be the wheel lock key, and then there was a plastic credit card emergency key.

has anyone ever bought new keys to be cut? mine are very worn and a bit bent, and was considering buying a new set: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Porsche-911-96...ht_1336wt_1088

can a standard key cutter cut the blanks?

thanks, Gareth.

Yes, I've done that and it worked fine! Just remember not to clip the actual metal key into the plastic but until after it's been cut.
