Default Targa Top Repair

Without the embarassing details! i managed to drop my Targa top ('92 964) while removing it - the vinyl is fine, but, one of the folding arms broke clean apart
Anyone know if this type of metal (aluminum?) can be welded, or am I up against purchasing an entire new frame?
Thanks!

Ouch! I feel your pain!

I have seen parts available on fleabay and there is some guy who repeatedly lists liners, etc as "information" that you should not attempt to diy...you might try contacting one of those types, DC auto, LA Dismantler, OK foreign to see what they can come up with

I dont know if it can be welded ...if it can its gonna have to be taken apart anyhow

This guy is the Targa Top Guru. He might be able to tell you what you need and where to get it, and he's not too far away from you - he might be able to just fix it for you.
