One suggestion: I appreciate the new gasket and the front 4 bolts, but my bolt on the muffler clamp just snapped. Wish you guys included that one also!
Aw man! I'm sorry to hear that. I'll definitely bring that suggestion up to my managers and see what they say.

Got it on. Just used one of the bolts from the primary muffler that was replaced.

Glad you were able to reuse one of the primary muffler bolts. So what are your thoughts? Thanks for the video posts!

I think it sounds great. I need to go adjust the donut clamp connection as it is leaking a bit. Sorry it is two videos, have no idea how to edit. May play with that later. How about a good price on another bypass?

Can't get the smallest of air leak from the donut clamp. It is so small a leak but can hear it. Can feel the leak right where the clamp
comes together with the bolt. Driving me nuts. With the bypass pipe you can hear it more then a normal cat to primary cup pipe. Can't think of a solution. Killing my new pipe excitement.

Just got back from a mix of highway and back roads. Love the sound. It can be loud or quiet depending on how you drive. I found myself feeling guilty as I felt I was beating on it to hear more sound.

Use silicon sealant on the donut before assembly.

Glad to see this! You can remove your engine pad to get more sound in the cabin. Mine was falling to bits anyway, as most are. I opted not to replace and it's no where near to loud, but when the tach is above 3500, the sound is where I wanted it.

Really? Like goop it on the donut and let it dry a bit? Wouldn't it melt? I guess like silicon engine sealer that is high temp would work. Not a bad idea..Is that what others have done? Also I have a new engine pad from when I did a clutch and motor was in another car. I was able to peel it off and put it in this car. The car is perfect sound wise. Def not too loud with windows up cruising on highway. Or around town if not on the throttle. I can only imagine how loud it is with a g pipe also. This may be too loud for some tastes. I look at it like motorcyclist do, protection.

I'd probably sand the clamp down with sandpaper to get rid of any debris, then hit it with some HVT. Hopefully that will solve your problem, like PhatPhlatSix stated.

DIY Silicon sealant has a really high melting point. Just make sure it is silicon and not some other alternative. I have used it for exhaust manifold gaskets and it works a treat!

Exactly!

+1. I have kids in the back all the time. No noise worries, but I bet it's a little bit hotter back there (especially with the rear seat backs removed also).

As I said a few posts up after my first drive with cat bypass, I really love the sound, and will in no way consider removing it. But anyone find it too loud and have swapped back? My friend who has a new primary cup pipe installed as the only mod on his car, made a face as he thought it was too loud for his tastes. So I am just curious others experiences.

My 964 already had a cat bypass and primary muffler bypass when I acquired it and I drove it for less than 10 miles before embarking on its current engine rebuild.

I found it a little loud/obnoxious for my tastes (as I intend to semi-daily-drive the car) compared to my stock 993 exhaust and bought a used, 200 cell sport cat a few months ago. As the engine is still being assembled, I haven't tried the sport cat yet but I expect I will like it more than the cat bypass.

The neighbors don't need to be woken up whenever I feel the need to go for a late night or early morning drive.
