Default Part for 964 windstop

One of the arms which goes from the windstop screen to the intereior side of the car is broken.
Does anyone know where to get a replacement or have any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks
Ray

Thanks for noticing that. I checked and it is for the supports on a sun roof wind deflector.

Pelican sells them for $7 each. http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/...FILTER_TOOL=ON

They are easy to replace. You remove a phillips screw near the front of the sunroof track, this releases the bottom portion of the lever. The top portion is held on with a simple rubber bushing. Once you start on it, you will see its easy. Perhaps 15 minutes to do the first time, less than 5 minutes for subsequent ones.

I just re read the first question and based on your signature I figured that you are talking about a cabriolet screen, not a sunroof part - sorry, but maybe one of cab owners can chime in...

I had a similar problem on a wind deflector I purchased. I replaced the broken arm with a piece of thinwall steel tubing. Hack saw, a little grinder work, some twisting in a vice for the angles and a coat of satin black and it works prefectly.

Thanks. I got a silicon formable mold and formed it around the good one. The resin replacement looks good. Will try it tomorrow.
