Default Headlight Seal Question

Hi

I have bought some new headlight to wing seals as my old ones are getting a bit tatty. I want to replace but noticed the new ones have a ridge on them and i'm not sure which way they fit. Simple answer would be to copy how the old ones came off, but i am not confident they have been fitted correctly after a little body shop work.

So can anyone please explain which way they are fitted

The onesies have seen all are pre-punched with alignment holes along the flat "fin". Btw, where did you find the seals. Mine are looking gummy. Thanks

Mine have always had the ridge facing forward - this allows the headlamp rim to seat well.

i purchased mine new from Pelican
i believe the edge faces out, but i can't seem to get the rim to fit over the rubber securely the rim won't grab over the little metal edge lip and hold..keeps slipping off
