Wagonface,

Pws ie Peter is a good guy to deal with and your right the dummy fasteners are plastic so you could buy spares off him they are simply a push fit.
If your laquer is lifting ie that milky look just remove the studs around the rim and see a local polishing shop to you and have the rim hand polished.
I have the rh wheels on my turbo and veloces on the c4 targa my rh's are like new still and imho a better rim than the speedline as everyone I know with speedlines is having them refurbed every couple of years as the rh's don't need to be.
The veloce if cleaned after use and a light rub over with wd40 or gt85 will last forever it's a labour of love with rims clean em right and they'll last don't and you'll be in for refurb.
So rh's on my garage queen and veloce on my regular both a good wheel but with the sh*t uk roads a veloce is more easily replaced and my RS mates run veloce's as track wheels heard nothing negative from them.

The white car needs to be lowered about six inches.

Thanks Gaz - I had original speedlines on the car but switched to veloce's in the hope I would get the look but not the hassle. It turns out I can't have my cake and eat it - shock!

I can't be bothered to clean and spray them with WD40 after every use so I'm going to have to accept the consequences, or find some painted wheels. Or... I might put stainless steel bowls on my speedlines - I'm sure I read someone else did that to avoid the usual faff.

Can I get the Veloce's polished anywhere? Or does it have to be a wheel restorer?

No offense taken...That is next on the to do list......It will look sooo much better when it sits a bit lower.....Saving my pennies for that right now unless someone wants to contribute to the cause.....LoL.....

I am thinking of just lowering the factory set up and realign until then as I only have 36,000+ miles on the car. I just need to order that wrench that can turn the threaded collar which sits below the springs.. hopefully that will work until then.

Yeah mine are a bit milky also. I lost a plastic bolt - Peter sorted me out with a bag of them for free.

I've used 'Wicked Wheels' on several occasion, have done a great job. I would give them a call - I'm sure they'd be able to help with polishing the lips...

PS> We want to see your car at the next London 964 meet!

Wagonface,

Franks in the know around your neck of the woods on were and what can be done in the south, I use a little old guy in chester for polishing he does anything from a antique bed to bloody mansion houses door *****.
I have a impact bumper car with mega rare 7&9 fuch's he did them for £80, he told me that they would go off quick because they were straight alloy.
Twelve years latter and loads of wd40 latter still mint, as regards to your speedlines they had a alloy outer rim, I think that the rh wheel has a spun stainless steel rim and you can put the rh rim on the speedline.
Pws or veloce uk ie Peter supplies all my wheels and he's clued up,bell him and he'll sort your speedlines out and give all the options saying that 40% of the threads on here are about refurbing speedlines

Regards Gaz,

Thanks guys - I will ask Peter for some plastic nuts for the Veloce's, and also about steel rims for the speedlines. I still cant bring myself to clean & WD40 my wheels after every drive, life's too short.

Frank - I am dropping my car off at GT-One tomorrow, so you might get to see it...

Hello

Correct; they will fit the 911 models.
For 964 models they need spacers

Hi

Spacers will push the wheels out even further and make them even more unsuitable for a 964
