If you have older oil stains on unfinished concrete (as opposed to a glossy epoxy finish) it becomes a little more difficult because the oil stain permeates the pores of the concrete surface. In that situation (like my driveway), I use a two stage process. First, pour a generous pile of cheap kitty litter over the stained area (the cheaper the litter, the better. No fancy additives. The chalk colored litter works best.). Then pour just enough gasoline into the pile of kitty litter to completely saturate it. Be careful that no ignition source is anywhere nearby! Use this method only in a very well ventilated area! The mixture is very flammable! Brush the mixture around the stained area to ensure complete coverage. A broom works well if you don't mind sacrificing one. Then let it sit until the gasoline completely dries (evaporates) in the kitty litter. Then sweep it up and dispose of properly as to not harm the environment (now the kitty litter is flammable). It not only absorbs the oil, it also bleaches the concrete back to it's proper color.
Caution: use gasoline to clean at your own risk. Very dangerous stuff! (so don't blame me if you blow yourself up)
