Adelaide hills
Just took my car for a blat up in the Adelaide hills - sunset over adelaide - quite spectacular - and now realize that I really need to order and fit my new brake pads/discs and fluid - the harsh reality of not getting to drive my car as intended on a regular basis rather than the daily drive that I usually get to do (which still puts a stupid grin on my face) is that not stretching the car means it's flaws/wear and tear aren't exposed on the daily drive.
Would love to do it more but life is always of stuff - c'est la vie :-)

Lucky man, some amazing driving roads up there. Perfect Porsche country
I'm a rather big fan of Basket Range Road myself and had a completely clear run free of traffic when I was there over Christmas.......sigh!

Not sure yet - tossing up between standard Porsche originals and the Zimmerman cross drilled rotors but there seems to be a bucket of diametrically opposed opinion regarding them so am currently in total procrastination mode ! I was going to give you a bell and see where you got your pagid pads from and whether you did your rotors at the same time. Also keen to hear how the car is going now it's sooooooo loooooooow and wiiiiide ;-)

i bought the rs29 pads from the link below for US$615 incl shipping ($558+$57 shipping). everything went smoothly with the purchase but took a few emails. i couldn't find them much cheaper. they are expensive but i think worth it for the occassional track day. probably my favourite upgrade! i'd look for cheaper options for street only driving.

i didnt change the rotors but need to soon, so that's the next research project over the next few months. after deciding on the brand, then i'll work out the cheapest place to buy them.
i checked shipping rates on shipito.com and it is about $110 for 10kg (about 2 rotors) and $175 for 20kg (about 4 rotors) so there is only a minor benefit if we group our orders
The DIY pad change was easy (even for me!) .. and the process for the rotor change-out looks straight forward.
Cars is going great. Check out the results from the early Feb sprint on the website. I had a minor cam cover oil leak that cost $400 to repair last week.
