Default lostt key - need key code

Man this has been a week to forget but thankfully you guys have helped tons. I lost my ignition key and need to find the key code in order for the dealer to cut a key.
He said it could be written somewhere on a label but not sure where to startn looking. VIN number is no help.

any ideas

In your books, owners man or warranty book.

Otherwise, you can get a key from Porsche from the vin, provided the lock cylinder has never been changed for any reason, in about 6-8 weeks.

I had my local dealer cut a new key using the VIN. They didn't asked for the key code.

Thanks again guys, called the local dealer and they can cut one with just the VIN. Shame I missed a day off & 70 degrees...had plans for a road trip. :~(

We have a locksmith in St Louis that makes perfect dupes for about 8 bucks each, of course you need a key to begin with
