Default BERU 964 Distributor cap

Hi guys, I saw in pelicanparts.com BOSCH distributor caps at 69$ each but BERU ones at 34,50$, Should I pay the difference or beru ones are good ones to? I will put BOSCH rotors (if this info is need or something).

Regards.

I know Beru wires are of good quality and I would hope the caps have the same quality control. The components of the hi voltage system have to work in concert with one another so I would try to keep the all the components from the same manufacturer. If I'm not mistake havn't there been issues with Bosch coils? And the price difference is a plus.

What is the manufacturer of your spark plug wires?

We will not use/install or sell anything but Bosch caps and rotors on these cars: too many issues with other stuff.

I was just thinking that if you had Beru wires (i.e. I believe they come from the factory with Beru wires and caps) that the Beru caps and rotors maybe a better match. I just checked my car and found I replaced the caps with Bosch and Beru wires about 10 years ago and they're still OK. But it sounds like you made up your mind even before Steve mentioned that is all he uses, so you can be sure you made a wise choice.

Hi Henry, I don't need spark plugs and I have to buy the oil lines and a new o2 sensor, so I will prefer to buy all on pelican because they send by USPS and shipping is lower.

Regards and thanks!

That's a super deal on the Ebay kit, it's like getting a free set of plugs and if I remember correctly I paid around $10 a piece from CTC 10 years ago. Bonus is they likely ship USPS, my shipper of choice for cross border shopping.

I would personally use Beru for plugs and leads, isn't that what is fitted from the factory? So if its good enough for them....

But as we dist and supply Bosch i use Bosch for the trade price, but wouldn't be upset to fit Beru.
