Bilstein HD's - are these correct?

I paid a little over $1200 which included new everything plus front and rear rotors and maybe other stuff. The 964 PET is linked. Make sure you look at the model year for the correct part number. See your PM for additional information.

With prices being equal, Bilstein HD or Koni Sports/Adjustables?
93 C2
Turbo Springs
Weekend Car
Hvy Autocrossing. more and more track days.
Firm ride Good, Bone jarring ride Bad.
$1000 budget.

i recommend Bilstein today because you can't easily adjust the rears with the Koni. Especially if you don't want bone jarring ride to and from the track... I use Koni on my 85 and Bilstein on my 04. Chuck

If it wasnt for the difficult adjusting on the koni's, Do the konis offer more then the Bilsteins? Soft to the track, Firm on track, soft ride home, ?

Or can all be acheived with the Bilsteins? I also like the bolt on capabilities vs. the cut and paste of the Konis, but I wouldnt mind alittle extra work for a better product.

Adjustability just "Seems" like it would be better.

And the fact I only want to do this once!

I put HD + H&R Reds on wife's 93 C2 and we both like the firm ride. I do not know how it compares with Konis. Your budget does not sound reasonable for new Bilstein and spring plus adjusting the ride hieght and alignment, unless you do all the labor yourself.

I really like my Koni's, as they do offer you the opportunity to adjust your suspension. But since the front strut towers are the only easily accessible adjustment points, that benefit is reduced to some degree. For example, a my 85 -- the rear is set at three-quarter stiffness and the fronts I'm free to adjust. Honestly I'm happy with the setup. I offer both for this reason! yes, you can adjust the front shocks to soft and it makes your ride home easier. You can adjust them to soft when you're having a wet track day as well. since the rears are fixed upon installation try to set them at the midpoint and you should have a good outcome.
